American journalist Mary Dimitrov is joining the English Language Studies Department at the University of Osijek starting October 1 under a cultural exchange program. While working as a reporter in Washington D.C. and, most recently, South Carolina, Mary covered everything from politics to education. The Croatian Ministry of Science and Education and the U.S. government selected Mary for the Fulbright program to provide assistance to local English teachers in Osijek. During the nine months she is here, Mary is happy to serve as an ambassador of American culture and an English language resource.
