The Faculty of Education is an educational and scientific-research institution of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek in the area of educating teaching staff. Long-time activity of the Faculty in qualifying highly educated professional staff and conducting scientific-research and professional projects have been the major motivators for the development of Croatian society in the mentioned area of activity.
The basic principles of the establishment of quality assurance system are reflected in:
Mission, vision and strategic plan of the Faculty as well as in the design of activities and standards that will lead to quality improvement of teaching and research, and the improvement of activities aimed at the development of economy and society in general, which are in accordance with the strategic development objectives of the Faculty.
Development and management of the system of quality assurance in accordance with the University policy documents, legal regulations of the Republic of Croatia, the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG), and the criteria for external evaluation of the Agency for Science and Higher Education.
Building a motivating environment for the promotion of quality assurance culture at the Faculty, and continuously working on the improvement and enhancement of teaching, scientific research and knowledge transfer.
Establishing a system for monitoring of quality improvement indicators to be used in decision-making and strategic planning.
Close cooperation with internal and external participants in the system of quality assurance: students, faculty staff, community at the local and national levels, and the relevant Ministry and National Agencies.
Risk management through establishing an effective system with defined authority and responsibilities as well as internal control.
The quality assurance system belongs to the regular activities of the Faculty and is a part of its everyday functioning. This Policy is a basic frame determining the quality assurance strategy of the Faculty of Education of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek and quality assurance aims, and it has been presented to all the employees of the Faculty of Education.
Quality assurance policy of the Faculty is regularly monitored and improved according to needs.
